Dan Ericson, a.k.a. Dunn, the ìStreet Sign Artistî, a.k.a ìthe signtologistî has blessed over 130 artists, musicians, comedians, and athletes with his unique paintings of famous faces on street signs. Dunn is inspired by hip hop and underground graffiti culture, and with his art, this culture has reached a new elegance. Inspired by artists such as Justin Bua, Dunn, who also has a background in graphic design and animation, has been recognized for his paintings in XXL Magazine, The Denver Post, and The Onion. His artwork has been featured in various exhibits nationwide such as The Panthaland show, the Interstellar Street Art Expo, and the Magic Trade-show. Dunnís work has also been used for a Nickelback video with Nelly Furtado and as a stage prop for Digable Planetís recent tour. Dunn considers his street art to be a new network that conveyís important philosophies and uses street signs to point the way for a vision towards the future.
